Moonbridge Tower

An impossible tower, touching the skies. Once it was a bridge; reaching to the moon, some say. Now, it's a city, gradually thinning into wilderness and wasteland the higher up you get. Rumors speak about treasure and wonders still unclaimed, guarded by sinister cults and feral beasts, far higher up than even the docking airships reach. You all have your reasons to climb Moonbridge Tower.

Moonbridge Tower is a location module for the upcoming ttrpg Elegy: Ruins of Twilight, a game of melancholy science fantasy in a truly ancient world. It is also the result of the #dungeon23 challenge, started by Sean McCoy, where you were supposed to write a dungeon room each day of the year 2023. I made one floor of the tower each week, until I got derailed by work, travel and actual paying rpg writing sometimes in late May. But I still had ideas for about a dozen more floors, and the Tower wanted to be finished. So one year later, I picked up the project again and finished it. This is the result. To preserve the nature of the physical artifact, this module consists of (bad) photographs of the spreads of the calendar in which I originally wrote the text, including spelling mistakes, crossed-out words and crudely drawn maps.

The module includes the following:

• 34 spreads of floors of the tower, including the area outside of it, the basements, and the airship the "Neverfailing Dagger", totalling 220+ rooms.
• Lots of named people and monsters.
• A list of reasons to climb the tower.
• A master plot of restarting the tower's machinery and reaching the very top.

One day, once Elegy is fully released, I will write this up as a professional module, but for now, it's a free pdf looking like this. The rules content is very lean and mostly self-explanatory. The setting is self-contained. I hope it might be useful, or at least bring a bit of joy.
